Our client, escaping from a dangerous situation in their home country in Africa, sought refuge due to political persecution and threats to their safety. Arriving in a new country, they faced daunting challenges in navigating the legal processes required to seek asylum.
They had previously represented themselves during the asylum process. Unfortunately, the application was refused, and they wanted advice on the next steps.
We advised the client that they had the opportunity to challenge the decision by way of an appeal to the First-tier Tribunal. This meant that if the client felt the Home Office had made an error in the decision, they would have the opportunity to present this in front of an immigration judge.
The first step was to submit an appeal to the First-tier Tribunal. Our team then helped gather crucial evidence, prepared necessary legal documents, and stood by our client every step of the way. We then instructed a barrister to attend the hearing and advocate on the client’s behalf.
